Imago Mundi - Luciano Benetton Collection

Nature and man in nature. Spirituality in everything. Imago Mundi returns to Africa with a collection dedicated to a great people: the Bushmen of the Kalahari Desert, "boschjeman" in the language of the Boers, probably the oldest ethnic group in southern Africa. More than 140 original works that surprise and also deeply move for their archaic candour that urges a reflection on the value of authenticity, in art and in the lives of us all. An authenticity that revisits and exalts the eternal and extreme mystery of creation.

The Bushmen of the Kalahari. Contemporary Artists of the Kalahari Desert from Botswana, Namibia and South Africa is an Imago Mundi collection, a cultural, democratic, global, non-profit project, promoted by Luciano Benetton with the aim of creating the widest possible mapping of the different contemporary artistic experiences of our world. In Imago Mundi, each country is represented by the works of established artists and new talents, commissioned with the maximum freedom of expression, whose only constraint is the 10x12 cm format.
